Why hasn't the world stopped?
Why are the birds still singing?
Why did the sun rise this morning?
Why are the leaves still falling?
Why are there shows on tv?
Why are people out shopping?
Why are there cars on the street?
Why was there school today?
Why is there laughter?
Why are there smiles?
The world had ended, so why had the movement not ceased, the entire planet fallen silent in horror, and every individual frozen? My mind was in free fall, spinning out of control, unable to grasp the impossibility, because Carly Henley could not be dead, the evidence of all my senses must be lying.
She was so amazing - and I'm comforted considerably by the fact that her image lives on wonderfully at YouTube. In the distant past few had the opportunity to be so well preserved, in real-time form, but thankfully Carly's human image still exists enough at YouTube to allow those who never met her to appreciate her awe.
