a new perspective

I wake up in a warm bed with my sweet doggy sleeping next to me, to the sound of a favorite song
The moon is still in the sky and it feels as though i am the only one conscious
The world is mine
I put on the warmest clothes I can find and immediately get to climb into a car, where I can instantly blast heat and drive to the uplifting sound of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
I get to spend special one on one time with my dear little brother as we journey to the seminary building
Once inside I get to sit next to my two best friends in the whole world
I get to learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus's love for me and I get to immerse myself in the spirit right at the start of my day
I leave seminary and as I drive home I get to watch the sun rise and the birds take flight
I get home and kneel down and thank God for the morning I've had and ask him to protect me and the ones i love throughout the day
I climb back into bed and my sweet doggy curls up beside me once again, i leave for nearly 2 more hours
I climb out of bed after pushing the snooze button a couple of times, grab some of my favorite cereal and climb into my mothers bed
I enjoy my breakfast while watching scooby doo, or brother bear
After about a half hour I get up and put some other warm clothes on, I run a brush through my tangly blonde hair and put a little color on my lashes
I brush my teeth, grab my favorite chewy bar, my ipod, my cell phone, and my homework, and head down to my car.
I drive to school with the windows rolled down and carrie underwood blasting out my speakers
I park in my secret parking spot, and completely avoid the disaster that is the college's parking lot
I walk to class and enjoy the (so far dazzlingly sunny) morning light
I take my seat in class at 11:00 am and after only 2 more classes I am free from school!
I make my way to dive where I get to spend two hours flying through the air defying gravity, and improving my physical and mental stamina
I arrive home grab a banana and call up my best buddy brynn to run with me
We amaze ourselves by finishing a run we never dreamed we could have done
I come home and quick like a rabbit get on my homework so I can enjoy a couple episodes of boy meets world before bed
I take a hot shower, wash my face, brush my teeth and then join my family for prayer
Then I go to my own room where I humbly kneel down and thank god for all of my many MANY blessings and ask forgiveness for all the things i've down wrong
I climb into bed and my sweet doggy curls up beside me
I ready my scriptures out loud to her
My mother comes in and kisses me on the cheek
I tell her about my day
She tucks me in and turns on my classical playlist
I fall asleep to the soft snoring of my puppy and the sweet seranding of a beautful melody
I can't wait to wake up and see what tomorrow holds in store for me!
