I
have absolutely failed at blogging for the past year. Times were so crazy this
year, school so intense, life evolving so much, that the idea of maintaining this blog
seemed just a little too much for me to handle. I know I have about a million
posts on here saying that I'm going to start writing again, so what makes this
time different? Well there are two reasons:
1. After
tomorrow my responsibility level pretty much drops of the radar. I’m graduating
from high school/community college so for the next couple of month, other than
working some nanny jobs on the weekend, I am free to live as I please. That
means waking up at noon every day, eating ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and
dinner, getting up only to go to the bathroom, and then going to sleep at
midnight. THAT’S TWELVE HOURS OF SLEEP!!! Just the thought of it makes me
giddy. I’m going to need the whole summer to make up for the lack of sleep I
dealt with over the past 12 years.
Okay,
so in reality I’ll be spending most of the summer traveling around waking up at
the butt crack of dawn to capture as many great moments as possible.
Which
brings me to the second reason:
2. If
there’s anything I’ve learned over the past year it’s to appreciate every moment.
There are so many things I wish I had written down so I could go back to them with
just the turn of a page (or the click of a mouse). I am about to start the most
adventurous, exciting, dramatic, and wonderful time of my life so far and I
want don’t want to lose a single moment. I know I’ve already forgotten so many
breathtaking moments, I guess that is just part of life though. It’s impossible
to hold on to everything that’s why you’ve just got to love what you’ve got
while you got it- still here’s my attempt at holding on the best that I can.
So
from now on you can expect to hear a lot more from me. If you don’t, please
yell at me. You are wonderful my darlings.
